Yesterday was Father’s Day. My sister and her boyfriend visited (since that is again allowed) to celebrate together. We had a nice afternoon and ordered Belgium fries and some ice cream. Life doesn’t need to be complex to be beautiful. That is also what I love about cycling long distances. It is not complex. You are on your own with your bicycle. Nothing more, nothing less. I probably wrote that already in some other posts but cycling can be very meditative. You move hours and hours forward and the only things you have are your mind and the view around you. Thinking about yourself, your life, and what you are doing. Sometimes it is hard. Sometimes easy. Like life.
Corona Lockdown Update
The corona restrictions are slowly lifted here in Belgium. That means we can slowly think about traveling again. It is still way to soon to think about other continents but we can probably do some small tours our neighbouring countries (France, The Netherlands, Germany). So we might do a 7 day tour at the end of august to The Netherlands if everything goes well. At least we hope for that. To get back in the cycling vibe because we really miss it. We are eager to start our new big adventures but for now we are already happy to do some small tours here in Europe. In the meantime, we can dream about our next big trip and plan it in slowly without rushing which is not a bad thing.
I also designed a cycling shirt for our upcoming trips! What do you guys think? Shall I order it?
